To comply with regulations, the output power of this device may need to be adjusted in accordance to
the associated transmission system. See
RF Output Power Setting for details.
The antenna associated with this device shall be mounted in a location that is at least 22.21'/6.77m
away from humans who may be subject to long-term or continuous exposure.
Canada Compliance
The 6 and 11GHz EX-i Series GigE (FDD) radios operate under ICES-003 of Industry Canada
regulations. The 5GHz EX-i Series GigE radios operate under RSS-210 of Industry Canada
regulations. Operation is subject to the following conditions, unless express permission is granted by
Industry Canada to operate in a different manner:
• External amplifiers cannot be used to boost the power or to overcome transmission system losses,
unless the specific amplifier/cable/antenna combination is expressly authorized by Industry
Canada.
• Cross-border transmissions are expressly prohibited, except with written permission from both
Industry Canada and the governing body of the neighboring country (FCC for USA)
• Only parabolic dish antennas may be used. No other types of antennas (panel, omni-directional,
yagi, and so on) are authorized
Industry Canada (IC), Canada (for 5GHz models)
This Class B digital apparatus meets all the requirements for the Canadian Interference-Causing
Equipment Regulations.
Cet appareil numerique de la classe B respecte les extingences du Reglement sur le material broilleur
du Canada.
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
Antennas Supported in Canada
The 5GHz Ex-i Series GigE models are designed to operate with the antennas with a maximum
mid-band gain of 37.5dBi (see Table 7). Antennas with mid-band gain higher than 37.5dBi are strictly
forbidden for use with these devices. The required antenna impedance is 50 Ohms.
