Optional Alignment Bar
The bumpers at the bottom and the front of the scan chassis are used to help guide the
instrument along an optional alignment bar during a scan. The alignment bar has magnets on the
bottom to help hold it in place on a press console or table during a scan.
For the example that follows, the alignment bar is positioned at the front of the instrument until it
touches the front bumpers. The bottom bumpers can also be utilized if the color bar location
requires an alternate scanning method.
To use the alignment bar:
1. Place the press sheet on the console and position the instrument aperture over the first
patch of the color bar.
2. Adjust the alignment bar until it touches the front bumpers.
