Main ctrl (Main Controller)
Description Name of the main device/controller allowed to control the given
play or record channel.
Values For a controller to be available in the list of values, it must first
be assigned to an RS422 port in the port settings.
In addition, rules specific to each controller apply to the
assignment of the controller (used alone or in combinations
with other controllers) to play or/and record channels. See
section "Rules for Controller Assignment" on page 101 for
more information.
An error message will be displayed to warn you in case of a
wrong protocol selection or protocol combination, and the
fields that contain errors will be highlighted in red.
Sec. ctrl (Secondary Controller)
Description Name of the main device/controller allowed to control the given
play or record channel.

Mode
Description Specifies how the control on the given play or record channel is
managed between the main and secondary controllers, when it
is possible to define main and secondary controllers.
Values Two control modes are possible:
• Exclusive mode:
The main controller can decide at any time to pass the
control to, or to retrieve the control from the secondary
controller.
• Parallel mode:
Any of both controllers can take the control as long as the
other controller is not executing a command. The control
can thus be freely passed on from one controller to the
other.
