You can perform many operations from the Channel Explorer menus, for example:
• lock channels from use by others
• start or stop an ingest
• gang multiple channels for simultaneous playback
• create specialized playback modes such as Fill & Key or Program/Preview
mode
3.2 CHANNEL EXPLORER VIEWS
The available views in the Channel Explorer are:
• Tree view
• Rec view
• Player view
• VTR view
• XFile view
These views are explained below.
New!
From version 5 of IPDirector, you can display channels in a “flat” view.
In this view, you can quickly select several channels and start/stop the
recording or streaming process.
