4. Player Control Panel
4.1 INTRODUCTION
The Player Control Panel, referred to as Control Panel in this
user manual, is the graphical user interface used to control
player channels of an XT server. The Control Panel allows
controlling an XT channel and making clips. In conjunction with
the buttons on the user interface, keyboard shortcuts and
dedicated buttons on the optional ShuttlePRO controller can also
be used.
The sections from 4.2 “Overview of the Control Panel” to 4.6.14
“Secondary Control mode” provide a detailed description of the
va
rious panes or windows in the Control Panel.
The sections from 4.15.1 “How to Open and Assign a Channel to
a
Control Panel” on page 78 include procedures on how to
pe
rform the main tasks in the Control Panel.
Note
The keyboard shortcuts can be customised using the
main IP Director menu Tools > Define Shortcuts.
