5. Fill & Key
5.1 INTRODUCTION
Channels of the XT series servers can be ganged together in a
specific style called FILL & KEY. This mode manages
assignments of clips, and forces them to recall to the appropriate
channels, so as to allow the operator to perform synchronised
clip recalls in a Fill & Key scenario (sometimes called FILL &
Matte)
5.2 INGEST KEY AND FILL CLIPS
5.2.1 AT CLIP CREATION
Clip can be defined as Normal, Fill or Key clip when metadata is
assigned to it.
By default the clip type is set to Normal.
• Select the Fill button to define the clip as fill clip.
• Select the Key button to define the clip as key clip.
