Description of the Parts
The table below describes the various parts of the Search Panel:
Area Description
1. Refresh button Refreshes the Elements grid.

Quick Text
Search field
Used to perform a search on free text.
See section 5.3Quick Text Search’ on page 25.
3. Clear All
button
Clears all the applied searches, quick text search and/or
advanced search.
4. Advanced
button
Clicking the Advanced button displays the
Add Search
Criteria field. Then, advanced search functions are available
for detailed search operations on metadata.

Criteria field
Selecting a parameter from the Add Search Criteria drop-
down list give access to an advanced search area
for this
parameter.

6. Advanced
Search area

An advanced search area is displayed between the Search
panel and the Elements grid for each parameter selected from
the Add Search Criteria field.

7. Favorites
button (or
Saved Filters
button)
The Saved Filters button gives ac
cess to a menu which
allows the users to save the applied filter for later use and then
apply the same set of filters with a single click.

2.4 Elements Grid
Introduction
The Elements grid represents the content of the tree branch selected in the Tree view. It
also returns the result of a search applied to a selected element type.
Elements are presented in rows and all their associated parameters and metadata are in
columns. When all of them cannot be displayed in the window, vertical and/or horizontal
scroll bars appear to facilitate further movement.
