Description of the printer and its functions
We invite you to see the different components of your printer marked on
the following drawings, which we refer to in this manual.
A Card Output Hopper Collects the cards ejected from printer
B Cover lever Allows the printer cover to be opened and closed
C Card Feeder Holds the cards before printing
D Control Panel Shows the printer activity
E Flip Over Module Rotates the card 180°
F Reject Card Box Collects the faulty cards
G Identification Label Gives the printer model and serial number
H Switch On/Off switch
I Electrical connector For connecting the printer to the power supply
J Parallel port (standard) Enables data to be received and sent from and to the computer
K USB port (standard) Enables data to be received and sent from and to the computer
L Serial Port (optional) Enables data to be received and sent from and to the computer or
connection to an external smart card reader/encoder
M Cleaning Rollers Remove dust before printing the cards
N Print Head For printing cards
Printer control panel
A control panel is available on the upper top of the printer.
Four LED’s are associated with symbols indicating the current activity of the printer.
These LED’s indicate:
