This
type
of
memory
allows
program
data to
be
as large as
eight
megabytes
in
size
when
several boards
that
meet
this
memory
specification
are
installed in
the
computer. (See
Appendix 3: EMS Technical Reference
for
details).
Note
that
the memory addresses
of
640K
to
1024K
(AOOOOH-
FFFFFH)
cannot
be
addressed by
the
user.
This
area
is
reserved for programs used by
the
system in
order
for
the
computer
to
function.
(It
is also used as
the
110
port
address area
for
expanded memory.) Also,
the
memory
ad-
dresses
of
16256K
to
16384K
(FEOOOOH-FFFFFFH)
are
also
reserved for system use.
