Install

the

chip

by first inserting

the

tips

of

the

pins

into

the

chip

socket holes

and

then

checking

the

alignment

of

the

tips.

If

chip

alignment is correct, press

the

chip

into

the

socket;

it

should go in easily.

If

you need

to

press hard,

the

chip

alignment

is probably

incorrect

and

you may

have

bent

a pin.

If

this happens, carefully remove

the

chip,

straighten

the

bent

pin,

and

try

the

installation again as

gently

as

possible.
