PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
□ This 24 in. septic tank riser cover (A) will t most 24 in.
installed risers. Test t the riser cover (A) to ensure it is
correct for your riser.
□ Clean the sealing surface of your riser.
□ Remove the hardware pack containing the four square-drive
screws (B) from the back of the riser cover (A).

INSTALLING THE RISER COVER
□ Place the riser cover (A) on your riser. Ensure the rubber seal
is making a seal with the top of your riser.
□ Using the four screw holes in the riser cover (A) as a guide,
drill four 3/16 in. holes through your riser.
NOTE: Some risers may require the use of holes other than the molded
screw holes in the riser cover. For these risers, use the two additional
drill points molded on the top of the cover.
□ Install the screws (B) with a #3 square driver.
□ For access to your riser, remove the screws (B) and cover (A),
then reinstall.

WARNING: Failure to install basin cover as shown will create a safety risk. Install cover as shown.
NOTE: This 20-1/2 in. diameter, gas-tight cover, with 19-1/2 in. bolt circle
fits most 18” sump and sewage basins.
1. Unplug your pump.
2. Remove pipe and cord seals from cover.
3. Apply seal tape to basin rim inside the bolt circle as shown.
4. Pull your pump's power cord through the cover's cord hole as shown.
5. Slide the cover over the pump's discharge pipe through the discharge
opening as shown.
6. Bolt the cover down as shown with the discharge pipe positioned in
the center of the discharge opening. Do not overtighten. Slide the
discharge pipe seal over the discharge pipe and snap in place in the
cover as shown.
7. Slide the vent pipe seal up over your vent pipe. Position the vent pipe
in the center of the vent opening extending into the basin at least one
inch. The vent pipe will need to be self-supporting in this position as
the seal will not support the vent pipe. Snap the vent seal into the
cover as shown.
8. Pull the pump's power cord through the cord opening, eliminating
slack inside the basin. Insert the cord through the cord hole in the
cord seal and press the cord seal into the cover as shown.
9. Install your check valve and the rest of your discharge plumbing to
complete your installation.
