Operation
Whole House Fans cool your home by pulling in fresh, cooler air from outside through open windows and doors. For the best operation and
most efcient cooling in a multi-story home, open windows on alternate levels.
CAUTION: NEVER operate the fan without open windows or
doors.
CAUTION: If your home has a replace, be sure that the ue
damper is closed to prevent chimney soot from being drawn
into the house by the fan. DO NOT operate the fan when a re is
burning in the replace.
Maintenance
WARNING: Disconnect the power before performing any
maintenance.
□ Check all electrical connections annually.
□ Ensure that the housing is unobstructed and is free of debris to allow proper air ow.
□ Check the belt tension (belt drive unit only).
Care and Cleaning
WARNING: Disconnect the power before performing any
cleaning.
□ Wipe down the unit with a damp cloth or rag.
□ Do not use corrosive or harsh chemicals to clean.
