Securing the fan in place
When the fan is in place, apply a generous amount of
roong compound between the ange and the shingles
approximately 1 in. inside the perimeter of the ange and
begin to secure with nails (not included).
When nished, check the installation for leakage with
water from a garden hose. Do not spray water directly into
the vent opening.

Installing the thermostat
WARNING: When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling, do
not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
Remove the cover from the thermostat box and, using
screws (not included) to prevent damage to the control,
attach the mounting plate to a stud.
Leave the back side of the control unobstructed to allow
free air circulation behind the box.
Wire the unit to the incoming power supply as follows:
Connect one black wire from the thermostat (B) to the
black wire of the incoming power supply.
Connect the other black wire from the thermostat (B) to
the black motor wire.
Connect the white wire from the power supply to the
white motor wire.
Attach the ground wire from the incoming power supply
to the ground screw (1) on the thermostat (B).
