Ensure that the hole drilled in step 2 is at the center of this circle.
Installation (continued) 7 8 Securing the fan in place □□ When the fan is in place, apply a generous amount of roofing compound between the flange and the shingles approximately 1 in. inside the perimeter of the flange and begin to secure with nails (not included). Installing the thermostat WARNING: When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
Operation Please ensure adequate air intake (4.2 – 5.3 sq ft) is available prior to operation. Set the thermostat to the desired attic temperature. The recommended setting is 90˚ - 110˚F. Ensure sufficient power is supplied to the fan. The fan will run as long as the attic temperature remains above the set temperature. Maintenance WARNING: Disconnect the power before you perform any maintenance. □□ Check the electrical connections annually.
