Installation Instructions:
Remove Old Parts:
1. Turn off water supply to the shower faucet. Once the water supply is shut off, turn the shower faucet on to release water pressure;
then turn the faucet off.
2. Remove old handles by prying off handle buttons, removing screws, and lifting off handles.
3. Remove old flanges by turning counter-clockwise to remove from wall. Remove old nipples by unthreading from valve stems.
4. To remove old stems, unscrew bonnets and pull out stems, using the socket removal tool.
5. Insert seat wrench into faucet valve and turn counter-clockwise to remove old bibb seats.
Install New Parts:
1. Place new bibb seats into shower faucet valve and tighten, using a seat wrench. Do not overtighten.
Before installing each stem, thread gasket onto the bottom of each stem bonnet (see drawing below).
2. Install new stems by threading each stem into the faucet body. (If necessary, use the socket removal tool to tighten.
Place socket removal tool on stem, use wrench to tighten.) Turn on water supply and check for leaks.
3. Install new nipples by threading onto stems. Install new flanges by threading onto nipples and tightening to wall.
4. Install new handles: pry off handle button, secure handle (with attached base) to valve stem with screw, replace button.
Repeat for hot, cold and diverter handle.
5. Turn on shower faucet and check for leaks.
