PREPARING OPENING IF REPLACING THE TRACK
Remove trim casing around the door using wide ply bars to
salvage the trim and remove jambs that cover the rough
framing. Once the casing and jambs have been removed,
remove the door from the pocket and take rollers off the track.
Using a stud sensor, locate the end of the door track that is
concealed within the pocket of the wall. Mark the top, bottom
and sides carefully. Using a drywall saw cut an area within the
marked borders to allow access for your tools to remove the
existing door track.

PREPARING HEADER
If replacing existing track, loosen the screws and remove
the track.
To avoid misalignment that can cause track damage over time,
use a leveler to determine that header is leveled horizontally. If
the level indicates that it is not, use wood shims and nail them
in uneven areas until leveled.
CÓMO PREPARAR EL DINTEL
Si se va a reemplazar el riel existente, afloja los tornillos y
quita el riel.
Para evitar una alineación incorrecta que puede causar que el
riel se dañe con el tiempo, usa un nivelador para determinar si
el dintel está nivelado horizontalmente. Si el nivel indica que
no está nivelado, usa cuñas de madera y clávalas en las áreas
desiguales hasta que se nivele.

CÓMO PREPARAR LA ABERTURA SI SE VA A
REEMPLAZAR EL RIEL:
Quita el marco que recubre la puerta utilizando barras anchas
para conservar la moldura y quitar las jambas que cubren el
armazón de la puerta sin acabado. Una vez que hayas quitado
el marco y las jambas, quita la puerta de la cavidad y los
rodillos del riel.
Utilizando un detector de vigas, ubica el extremo del riel de la
puerta que se esconde en la cavidad de la pared. Marca el
extremo superior, el inferior y los lados cuidadosamente.
Utilizando una sierra para drywall corta un área dentro de los
bordes marcados para poder introducir las herramientas y
quitar el riel de la puerta existente.
