The Everbilt
®
Non-woven housewrap is a premium performance
housewrap that can also be used as a primary air barrier.
When installing to be the primary air barrier, the following additional
general guidelines should be used:
1. Fasteners
Minimum 1” long fasteners with plastic or metal caps should be
used.
2. Flap Over the Through-Wall Flashing
Before completion, the unfastened wrap must be fastened and
sealed prior to installation of the siding or cladding.
3. Seal All Seams
All vertical and horizontal seams must be sealed using 2” wide
seam tape.
4. Rough Openings
All rough openings must be sealed with flashing materials to
complete the housewrap seal.
Warning: Foam plastic insulation will ignite if exposed to fire of
sufficient heat and intensity. Protect foam insulation from exposure
to open flame or other ignition sources during shipment, storage,
and installation.
Storage and Handling: When stored outdoors, all materials should
be protected from exposure to direct sunlight using an opaque
light–colored tarp or the original packaging. Material that has been
unwrapped should be carefully rewrapped.
