System Menu Tree
The system mode is divided into five categories [BYPASS], [AUX SW], [MIDI], [GLOBAL], and
[UTILITY] which are the top-level menu items that appear when entering system mode.
In the following, factory default settings are indicated in (bold)
[BYPASS] Select Bypass Mode
After entering System Mode, turn the Encoder to select [BYPASS], then press the Encoder to
enter Select Bypass Mode. Turn the Encoder to select either [BYP TYP] or [KILLDRY].
[BYP TYP] Choose Bypass Type (DSP, RELAY, DSP+FX)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn Encoder to select DSP or Relay.
When [DSP] is selected, Bypass sends the audio at the DSP’s inputs directly to the
outputs without any effects processing.
When [RELAY] is selected, Bypass employs a pair of relays to “hardwirethe inputs
to the outputs.
When [DSP+FX] is selected, Bypass combines the audio at the DSP’s inputs with
the DSP’s outputs AND stops feeding any new input signal to the DSP Effects
inputs. This is a handy way to Bypass an Effect without abruptly killing the tail of
the Effect that youve been using.
Press the Middle Footswitch once to back-up one level to BYPASS menu.
Press the Middle Footswitch twice to go to top level System menu.
[KILLDRY] Kill Dry Audio (NO, YES)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn Encoder to enable/disable KILLDRY.
When KILLDRY is enabled (YES), the dry signal is removed from the output and
ModFactor only outputs a 100% wet Level. For some of the effects the Intensity
control acts as a Wet/Dry Mix control. For these effects, if KILLDRY is YES, the
Intensity control is disabled.
Press the Middle Footswitch once to back-up one level to BYPASS menu.
Press the Middle Footswitch twice to go to top level System menu.
[AUX SW] Program Auxiliary Switches
Up to three Auxiliary Switches can be assigned as controls for the Effects
parameters and system control. The three Aux Switches are connected to the rear
panel ¼” stereo phone jack. ModFactor detects closures by sensing whether the
tip, the ring or both the tip and ring are grounded. Note that you must use a
stereo phone plug when connecting three Aux Switches.
The default assignments of the Aux Switches mirror the operation of the stompbox
footswitches. If ModFactor is in the Play Mode, the Aux Switches act as the normal
Bank Mode switches and, if ModFactor is in Bank Mode, the Aux Switches act as
the normal Play Mode switches.
To assign the Aux Switches first press the Encoder to select AUX SW. You will see
two fields (split display) of the Billboard display (left/right) showing Parameter
