Appendix: USB Performance
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) is emerging as the preferred interface to connect Flash card readers to computers.
The latest USB specication is USB 3.0. The older specication was USB 2.0. The USB 3.0 specication includes the USB
2.0 speeds for backward-compatibility reasons. USB 2.0 is backward compatible with USB 1.1 however USB 3.0 will
not work in USB 1.1 ports.
