6. B-CHANNEL – PORT ASSOCIATION
Communiction through a Dual Cell is performed via ports on one end, and B-channels on the
other end: Each Dual Cell has two ports. Each port extends to a GSM module (containing a
SIM). The GSM module communicates to the GSM network.
On the opposite end of the Dual Cell, two B-channels communicate to the switching unit.
This section explains the assigning of B-channels to in-house phones and the allocation of calls
to Winner Series BRI Gateway ports.
