Mahogany darkens as it ages. Sunlight accelerates this process and UV protection delays it. If the
sunlight is uneven on the door, the color will become uneven. This is generally not an issue once
the door is installed because the sun patterns will be pretty consistent, but If you store the door
somewhere for a long time and then move it, you might see abnormal patterns. For that reason,
we always recommend storing the door out of direct sunlight before installation.
