In addition, when an individual area is disarmed, the common area is disarmed automatically and
the armed output C-LEMs (if used) for both that area and the common area are reset.
INTRUDER ALARM
When an intrusion occurs on an instant-acting zone, then INTRUSION panel relay output 1 and
output C-LEM 1, INTERNAL BELL output C-LEM 10, TIMED BELL panel relay output 7 and
output C-LEM 7, and the individual AREA ALARM output C-LEM will operate. The display
will show the flashing alert message ** INTRUDER ALARM **, alternating with a flashing
zone description of the first zone to trip. If the intrusion involves an timed exit/entry door, then
at the expiry of the exit time the flashing alert message *SLOW ENTRY ALARM* (see below)
will be displayed, along with the previous alert message and zone description. If the intruder
ventures into other areas, then the first zone to trip in each new area will also be displayed. At
the end of the bell cut-off time, all panel relays and C-LEMs except C-LEM 10 will be reset. The
outputs can also be cancelled by disarming an area. If this is done, all panel outputs will be
turned off and the individual AREA ALARM output C-LEM for that area will also be turned off.
Individual output C-LEMs for the other areas are not affected.
SLOW ENTRY ALARM FEATURE - When an area is armed, entry through an EXIT zone
will cause the piezo-sounder to start beeping for the amount of time set in the Exit Time variable
(see page 48). This is to remind the user to disarm the panel. If the user waits too long, the entry
time will expire and a full intruder alarm will occur. The display will show the flashing alert
message *SLOW ENTRY ALARM*, alternating with a flashing alert message and zone
description.
ACKNOWLEDGING ALARMS
Whenever the piezo-sounder is beeping and a flashing message appears on the display (e.g.,
** FIRE ALARM ** or ** INTRUDER ALARM **, these can be cleared by acknowledging
the alarm. To do this, enter your user code and then press the 0 (zero) key. The panel will
momentarily show CLEAR DISPLAY and then return to date and time.
RESETTING OUTPUTS
Whenever an alarm condition results in a panel relay or C-LEM being operated, selected outputs
can be turned off by acknowledging alarms (see above) or by fully disarming the panel. To fully
disarm the panel, enter your user code and then press the FULL DISARM key. In addition, selected
users can also use the AUDIBLE SILENCE 1 or 2 key to turn off panel outputs. Enter your user
code and then press either the AUDIBLE SILENCE 1 or the AUDIBLE SILENCE 2 key.
