IMPORTANT: Before operating the appliance for the first time, read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply prior to any maintenance or cleaning operations. Allow the steam appliance to cool down before storing away. • Water used in the water tank should be free of additives, perfumes, or any other chemical substances. • Do not overturn or lean the appliance unduly to one side while the appliance is in use. • Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of persons, animals or plants.
OPERATING INSTRUCTION Switching On Your Steam Cleaner Insert the electrical plug into the wall socket and press down on the power switch and boiler switch to turn the appliance on. The light integrated into the power switch and the boiler switch will illuminate orange. The appliance will heat up and produce steam. Heating time is approximately 8 minutes when cold water is used. The green “Steam Ready” indicator light turns on when steam has been produced and the appliance is ready to be used.
Refilling the Water Tank When the water in the tank has run out, refill the tank with water as per the instruction above. The appliance can be refilled with water during use so that there is no interruption to your cleaning. The SC45 Steam Cleaner is a continuously refillable system, to ensure you never run out of steam while cleaning. IMPORTANT: If the water level in the tank is too low, the system will automatically stop the flow of steam. Simply re-fill with water and the unit will resume operating.
ACCESSORIES WINDOW CLEANER: This attachment is very useful for cleaning windows and glass surfaces. Connect the window cleaner to the steam gun. Apply steam abundantly, rub with the soft spongy edge then remove excess water and dirt with the glass wiping edge (squeegee). Wipe the squeegee with a cloth after every stroke. CAUTION: When cleaning windows, always avoid any sudden changes in temperature to prevent glass breaking or cracking.
TOOL CADDY FITTING THE TOOL CADDY 1 2 3 The Tool Caddy in use 1. Hook the top front of the caddy over the two hooks on the reverse of the appliance and push the bottom part of the caddy under the body of the cleaner so that the holes in the fixing lugs match the holes for the plastic screws. 2. Fit the two plastic headed screws provided through the fixing lugs into the two screw holes turning clockwise until hand tight.
