Removing and Installing the Processor
Processor Removal Procedure
1. Turn off the computer, and turn it over, remove the battery (page 2 - 5).
2. Locate the component bay cover and remove screws - .
3. Carefully (a fan and cable are attached to the under side of the cover) lift up the bay cover.
4. Carefully disconnect the fan cable , and remove the bay cover .
5. Loosen the CPU heat sink screws - .
6. Carefully (it may be hot) lift up the heat sink off the computer.

Caution
The heat sink, and CPU
area in general, con-
tains parts which are
subject to high temper-
atures. Allow the area
time to cool before re-
moving these parts.

b. Lift the cover and discon-
nect the fan cable.
c. Loosen the screws and
remove the heat sink..
