2.Disassembly
Removing the Modem
1. Turn off the computer, remove the battery (page 2 - 5), HDD (page 2 - 6), component bay cover (page 2 - 10),
optical device (page 2 - 9), bluetooth (page 2 - 13), CPU (page 2 - 20) and keyboard (page 2 - 23).
2. Remove screws - from the bottom case (Figure 21a).
3. Remove screws - from the rear of the computer and loosen the WLAN cables (Figure 21a).
4. Turn the computer over, remove screws - and disconnect cables - from the top case (Figure 21b).
5. Lift the top case up and off the bottom case. The modem module will be visible at point (Figure 21c).
6. Remove screws - and disconnect cable (Figure 21c). Lift the modem module up (Figure 21d).

a. Remove the screws from
the bottom case and rear
of the computer. Loosen
the WLAN cables.
b. Turn the computer over,
remove the screws and
disconnect the cables
from the top case.
c. Lift the top case up and
off the computer. Re-
move the modem
screws and disconnect
cable.
d. Lift the modem module
up.


top case all the way up.
