2.Disassembly
Keyboard Removal
1. Turn off the computer, remove the battery (page 2 - 5), remove the component bay cover (page 2 - 10), VGA &
CPU fans (page 2 - 17), video card heatsink (page 2 - 17) and CPU heat sink (page 2 - 20).
2. Open the rear cover , remove the screws - and press at point to unsnap the the hinge cover module
(Figure 19a).
3. Turn the computer over, open the Lid/LCD and lift the hinge cover module and disconnect the cables &
(Figure 19b).
4. Turn the computer over again, press at point
(Figure 19c) to unsnap the LED cover module (you may
need to use a small screwdriver to do this).
5. Turn the computer over, open the Lid/LCD and carefully lift the LED cover module
and disconnect the cable

a. Open the rear cover, re-
move the screws and
press at point 5 to unsnap
the hinge cover module.
b. Lift the hinge cover mo-
dule and disconnect the
cables.
c. Press at point 9 to unsnap
the LED cover module.
d. Lift the LED cover module
and disconnect the cable.
