2.Disassembly
CPU/Video Card Pre-Installation Procedure
1. Turn off the computer, and turn it over and remove the battery (page 2 - 5) and component cover (page 2 - 10).
2. Insert the CPU , pay careful attention to the pin alignment (Figure 11a), it will fit only one way (DO NOT
FORCE IT!), and turn the release latch towards the lock symbol (Figure 11b).
3. Remove the stickers (Figure 11c) from the CPU heat sink unit.
4. Insert the heat sink unit
as indicated in Figure 11c.
5. Tighten the CPU heat sink screws in the order
, , & (the order as indicated on the label and Figure
11d).
6. Remove the protective mylar from the video card and make sure that the 5 thermal pads are still on points
- as indicated below (Figure 11e).
