2.Disassembly
Removing the CPU
1. Follow the sequence of steps 1 to 9 as illustrated in “Removing the System Memory” on page 2 - 14 to reveal the
CPU heat sink and fan unit "
1" in Figure 2 - 7a.
2. Release the latches from the top of the CPU heat sink and fan unit as indicated in
Figure 2 - 7a, then remove the
power cable "
4" from the board and lift the fan unit away.
3. Release the heat sink as indicated in
Figure 2 - 7c., and remove it.

Sequence
a. Release the

top of the CPU
heat sink and fan
unit.
b. Remove the
power cable and
lift the fan unit
away
