Removing the CPU
1. Remove the rear top cover (page 2 - 7).
2. The CPU heat sink unit is located at point
(Figure 13a).
3. Loosen the heat sink unit screws in the order , , ,
(Figure 13b).
4. You can then remove the heat sink unit
(Figure 13c).

a. Locate the heat sink.
b. Loosen the screws in
the order indicated.
c. Remove the heat sink
unit.

Caution
The heat sink, and CPU area in general, contains parts which are subject to
high temperatures. Allow the area time to cool before removing these parts.
To remove the heat sink unit, loosen the screws in
the order , , , (there are numbers on
the heat sink unit itself).
