To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. HOW TO USE A carpet should be cleaned regularly over heavily traveled areas, and once a week over the entire carpeted area. Vacuum slowly, making several passes (forward and backward) over the carpet, covering small areas at a time.
