PRECAUTIONS AND SAFETY FEATURES

The manufacturer has taken into account any safety device for protecting
users, but particular conditions of installation and/or handling may cause
uncontrolled or unforeseeable situations beyond, therefore a case-by-case
evaluation of residual risks is always required and the following indications
must be followed:
• Before connecting the appliance, make sure the data plate corresponds
to the power mains.
• For installation and repairing, follow the safety rules and the regulations
applicable in the country of installation.
• The ground connection is mandatory and the electrical system must com-
ply with the standards of the country of installation.
• Do not use multiple-plug adapters and/or extension cords.
• Do not operate the machine when the power cord is damaged. In case of
malfunctioning, switch the appliance off and contact the nearest author-
ised service centre.
• The appliance must be used only to grinding of roasted coffee beans; any
other use must be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The
manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any damage arising from
improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.
• These appliances are intended for use in commercial applications, such
as kitchens of restaurants, canteens, hospitals, and in commercial busi-
nesses, as bakeries, butcheries, etc., but not for food continuous mass
production.
BASIC WARNINGS
• Do not put the appliance, the power cord and the plugs in water or other
liquids and prevent the inner parts of the machine from coming into con-
tact with liquids.
• Do not pull the power cable or the appliance itself to disconnect the plug
from the power supply socket.
• Do not operate the appliance with damp or wet hands.
• Do not allow the use of the appliance by children or unskilled personnel.
• Do not operate the appliance when barefoot.
• Duringuse,positiontheapplianceonaat,steadysurfacethatcansup-
port its weight.
• Unplug the appliance before performing any cleaning and maintenance
operation.
• Do not use water jets, improper detergents or steam cleaners for clean-
ing.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged in unnecessarily. Unplug it when not
in use.
• Do not obstruct the ventilation and/or heat dissipation openings nor intro-
duce water or any kind of liquids.
