6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION
Unplug the appliance before performing any cleaning and maintenance operation.
Do not pull the power cable or the appliance itself to disconnect the plug from the
power supply socket.

Maintenance is to be performed only by skilled personnel authorized by the manu-
facturer.
ATTENTION
Do not carry out makeshift or precarious repairing and do not use non-original spare
parts.
6.1 CLEANING
Cleanliness is a basic aspect for the proper functioning of the appliance. A neglected coffee
grinder with dosing unit may have a negative impact on coffee dispensing and on the accu-
racy of dose and grinding. Before cleaning, make sure the appliance is unplugged.
6.1.1 CONTAINER CLEANING
After having removed the container from the appliance, clean its inner part with water and
mild detergent thus removing the oily layer left by the coffee beans. Rinse and dry thorough-
ly. Repeat the procedure for the plastic cover. Do not put in the dishwasher.
It is advisable to carry out cleaning at least once a week.
