4 ADJUSTMENTS AND USE
4.1 GETTING STARTED
It is furthermore necessary to set up the appliance before operating according to the coffee
blend type (more/less roasted) and the degree of grinding.
• Insert the container (2) into its seat (Fig. 2).
• After having plugged the appliance in, pull the tab (9) at the bottom of the coffee bean
container (2) to close it (Fig. 3).
• Remove the cover (1) from the container (2) and fill it with coffee beans.
• Insert the cover (1) back and push the tab (9) permitting passage of coffee beans.
4.2 APPLIANCE SWITCHING ON
Bring the switch (4) to on position (the button LED goes on).
When switching the appliance on for the first time, it is configured in the default
mode and anyway, in the following uses, it will maintain the last mode previous to
switching off.
When switching the appliance on, the display shows the operating screen immediately.
4.3 GRINDING SETTING (Fig. 5)
Set grinding by means of the adjusting knob (3), by rotating it clockwise to make powder
finer or anticlockwise to increase the size of its grain as shown on the knob. Setting is step-
less; it must be gradual, by grinding some coffee every max. 2 notches.
ATTENTION
When knob is rotated of a turn with stationary motor, the appliance may stop.
4.4
ADJUSTMENT OF DISPENSING SPOUT (Fig. 4)
According to the filter holder and the type of coffee beans used, adjust the height and incli-
nation of the dispensing spout (7) in order to permit a correct coffee dispensing.
4.5 ADJUSTMENT OF FILTER HOLDER FORK (Fig. 4)
• The fork is suitable for any type of filter holder available on the market.
• By using a crosshead screwdriver, loosen the fastening screw of the filter holder fork (5).
• Raise or lower the fork in order to adjust it according to the size of the filter holder.
• Once having reached the correct position, tighten the fork fastening screw (5).
