1.2 PowerOnSequence
Werecommendpoweringuptheconvertersonlyafterverifyingthepresenceofa
validsyncsignal.Afterpoweringuptheconverters,theSampleRateandSampleRate
SourceLEDsblinkastheconvertersensestheincomingSampleRatesourceandSam‐
pleRate.Werecommendmonitoringthepower‐upsequencetove rifytheconverters
havecorrectlyauto‐sensedthedesiredSampleRa teSourceandSampleRate.

TheMI715andMO705complywithCE’sEN60950ElectricalSafetyStandards.
1.3.1 220,230,240VACOperation
NOTE: Beforeconnectingpowertotheconverters,changethefuseandvoltageselectorto
theappropriate220/230/240VACsettings.
Theconverterspreservetheirsignalqualityusinglinearpowersuppliesthatmustbe
manuallyswitchedbetween115and230VAC.Theunitsareshippedsetfor115VAC.
Movethered,two‐positionswitchnearthepowerentrymoduleoftheconvertersto
the230 VACposition(down)for220/230/240VACoperation.
Eachunitusesa0.630Afusefor115VACoperation.Tooperateat220,230,or
240 VAC,installthespare0.315Afuseprovidedinthepowerentrymodulefuse‐holder.
Toaccessboththeactiveandthesparefuse:
1. Turntheunit’spoweroff.
2. RemovetheIECpowercablefromthepowerentrymodule.
3. Useasmallscrewdrivertoopenthefusetraybelowtheelectricalinlet.
Theactivefuseistotherearofthetray.Thesparefuseisinthetrayslotclos‐
esttothefront.Pullthefusesthroughtheplasticconstrictionpointthatholds
themfromfallingout.
NOTE: Neverdisconnectthesafetygroundtotheconverters.
