Driven Pulley
Check for the following:
• If both surfaces are damaged or worn.
• If the guide pin groove is damaged or worn.
• Replace damaged or worn components.
• Measure the outer diameter of the driven face
and the inner diameter of the movable driven
face. Replace if either exceeds service limit.
Service limit:
• Outer diameter 33.94 mm
• Inner diameter 34.06 mm
Driven Pulley Bearing Inspection
• Check if the inner bearing oil seal is damaged.
Replace it if necessary.
• Check if needle bearing is damaged or has too
much clearance. Replace it if necessary.
• Rotate the inside of inner bearing with your
fingers. The bearing should turn smoothly and
quietly.
• Check if the bearing outer parts are closed and
fixed. Replace if necessary.
Clutch Weight Replacement
• Remove the snap ring and washer.
• Remove the clutch weight and spring from
driving plate.
• NOTE: Some of models are equipped with one
mounting plate instead of 3 snap rings.
• Check if the spring is damaged or has
insufficient elasticity.
• Check if the shock absorption rubber is
damaged or deformed. Replace it if necessary.
• Apply grease onto setting pins.
