• Remove the 2 cylinder head mounting bolts from the

cylinder head right side.

• Remove 4 nuts and washers from cylinder head

upper side.

• Remove the cylinder head.

• Remove the cylinder head gasket and dowel pins.

• Remove the chain guide.

• Clean any gasket material from the surfaces of the

cylinder and cylinder head. Do not scratch the

surfaces or allow any material to fall into the

crankcase.

• Use a valve cotter removal & assembly tool to

depress the valve spring. Do not compress

the spring too much to preserve its elasticity.

• Remove the valves.
