5-4 Carburetor Removal / Installation

Removal

• Drain the fuel from the float chamber by loosening

the drain bolt.

• Loosen the choke cable fixed screw

from the plate.

• Remove the choke cable.

• Disconnect the fuel hose.

• Release the clamp strip on the air cleaner.

• Remove the top of the carburetor from the

carburetor.

• Remove the 2 intake nuts.

• Remove the carburetor.

Installation

• Ensure the drain screw is tightened. Install carburetor into intake and tighten the two

nuts. Reconnect all vacuum and fuel lines. Reconnect the air boot from the air box.

Turn the fuel petcock on and check for leaks.
