4-6 Oil Pump

Oil Pump Removal

• Remove generator and starting gear.

(Refer to chapter 10)

• Remove cir clip and take out the oil pump driving chain

and sprocket.

Circle Clip

• Make sure that pump shaft can be rotated freely.

• Remove the 2 screws on the oil pump.

• Remove the oil pump.

• Remove the screws on oil pump cover and remove the cover.

• Remove oil pump shaft roller and shaft.

Oil Pump Inspection

• Check the clearance between oil pump body and outer rotor.

Limit: 0.25 mm

• Check the clearance between the inner and outer rotors.

Limit: 0.20 mm
