GLOBE TRAVELER G3 OWNER’S MANUAL GLOBE TRAVELER G3 OWNER’S MANUAL TUNING SSB (Single Side Band) continued USING THE SYNCHRONOUS DETECTOR To experiment with SSB, turn on the G3 and position yourself near a window if you’re in a building with stories above you. Tune to the 20 meter Amateur band, by pressing 14150 KHz with the keypad and then pressing the AM button to enter it. Turn on the SSB circuit by pressing the SSB button twice (don’t select SYNC).

Use this method when the desired frequency of a radio station is known. AM, LW, SW and Air Band frequencies are entered in kilohertz (KHz), e.g. 810 KHz or 9475 KHz.; FM frequencies are entered in megahertz (MHz), e.g. 102.9 MHz, ignoring the decimal point. NOTE: Aircraft frequencies are entered in Kilohertz (120100 KHz), but are normally given in Magahertz (120.1 MHz).

Turn on the G3 and enter PAGE/MEMO mode by pressing the PAGE/TIME button, causing PAGE/MEMO to appear in the display. 2. When it is turned on, one press of the LOCK button makes HOLD appear in the LCD and prevents unwanted frequency changes with the tuning knob; two presses of the LOCK button makes a key appear at the top of the LCD and locks all buttons except the POWER/SLEEP button.

Posizionarsi sulla banda amatoriale 20 metri, digitando 14150 KHz con il tastierino e quindi premendo il tasto AM per accedere. Attivare il circuito SSB premendo il tasto U/LSB (non selezionare SYNCH).
