Port Forwarding
This page allows you t o configure port forwarding rules to allow remote u s e rs t o access
services such as Web o r FTP on y o u r local computers. This allows y o u to redirect a particular
port number (from the Internet/WAN port) to a particular LAN IP address.
Name Description
Virtual Server Settings: Enable/Disable port forwarding
IP Address: The LAN IP address that the public port number packet will be sent to
Port Range: The public port numbers to be sent to the specific LAN IP address
Protocol: Select the port number protocol type (TCP, UDP or both). If you are unsure, then leave it
as the default “TCP&UDP” setting
Comment: Add a comment to identify the rule (optional)
Click Apply to save the settings.
DMZ
If you have a c l i e n t P C that c a n n o t run a n Internet a p p l i c a t i o n (e . g . Games) p roperly from
behind t h e NAT f i rewall, then y o u can open up the f i rewall restrictions to allow unrestricted
two-way Internet access by defining a DMZ Host.
The DMZ f u n c t i o n allows you t o re - d i rect all packets going t o your WAN port I P address,
to a p a r t i c u l a r IP address in your LAN. T h e difference between the v i r t u a l server a n d the
DMZ function is that t h e vi r t u a l server re-directs a particular s e r v i c e / I n t e r n e t application
(e.g. F T P, websites) t o a particular LAN c l i e n t / s e r v e r, whereas DMZ re-dire c t s all packets
(regardless of services) going to your WAN IP address to a particular LAN client/server.
Name Description
DMZ Settings: Enable/disable DMZ.
DMZ IP Address: Fill-in the IP address of a particular host in your LAN Network that will
receive all the packets originally going to the WAN port/Public IP address of
your Travel Router.
