Getting Started
Configuring your Router and setting up your
computer
Having physically connected your Router, the next step i s to
configure t h e Router to establish a b roadband connection.
Depending on your computers current settings y o u may f i rst
need to reconfigure the TCP/IP ( N e t w o r k Settings) t o access
your Router. Follow the instructions for your operating
system.
Windows Vista computers
1. In the W i n d o w s task b a r, c l i c k on Start and then click
Control Panel.
2. Cl i c k on Network and Sharing Center. (Classic view only)
3. Cl i c k o n Manage Network Connections on the left m e n u .
4. Ri g h t click on Lo c a l Area Connection and click on
Properties
5. The Local Area Connection dialog box will display a list of
currently installed network items. Ensure that the check
box to the left of the item labelled Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) is checked. Select Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
6. In the Internet Protocol Vers i o n 4 (TC P / I P v 4 ) pro p e r t i e s
dialog box, click the radio button labelled Obtain an
IP address automatically. Also cl i c k the radio button
labelled Obtain DNS server address automatically.
7. Cl i c k OK twice to co n f i r m your changes and cl o s e the
Control Panel.
Windows® XP computers
1. In t h e W i n d o w s t a s k b a r, click the Start button, and then
click Control Panel.
2. Cl i c k o n N e t w o r k & Internet Connections icon. (Category
mode only).
3. Cl i c k t h e N e t w o r k C o n n e c t i o n s i c o n .
4. In the L A N or H i g h - S p e e d Internet window, r i g h t - c l i c k
on t h e i c o n corresponding t o y o u r network interface
card (NIC) a n d select Properties. (Often, this i c o n is
labeled Local Area Connection).
5. Th e Local Are a Connection dialog b o x displays with a
list o f cur rently installed n e t w o r k items. Ensure t h a t
the c h e c k box to the left o f the item labelled I n t e r n e t
Protocol (TCP/IP) is checked. Select Internet Pro t o c o l
TCP/IP and click on Properties.
6. In the I n t e r n e t Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box,
click the radio button la b e l l e d Obtain an I P addre s s
automatically. Also click the ra d i o b u t t o n l a b e l l e d
Obtain DNS server address automatically.
7. Cl i c k OK twice t o confirm your c h a n g e s , and close the
Control Panel.
Mac OSX 10.4
1. Cl i c k t h e A p p l e i c o n a n d c h o o s e S y s t e m P references.
2. Cl i c k o n t h e N e t w o r k i c o n .
3. Se t Location t o Automatic a n d Show to Built In Ethernet.
4. Cl i c k o n t h e TCP/IP tab.
5. In the Configure option, ch o o s e Use DHCP with automatic
address.
6. Cl i c k o n A p p l y N o w.
Setting up your Travel Router
The next s t e p is to establish the bro a d b a n d connection to
the Internet. Please follow the steps below to configure
your router via the user interface.
1. Open your w e b bro w s e r (e.g. Internet Explorer/Firefox/
Safari) on your computer or smartphone and n a v i g a t e to
http://192.168.20.1/
2. Cl i c k Login and type “a d m i n ” (without quotes) in th e
Username and Password fields. Then click on Submit.

3. Se t u p y o u r WAN connection as follows:
