when the AC Mains power cord is plugged into an AC
source.Note:thedisplayhasa1.5%tolerance.
8. Sequence Indicator–TherearethreegreenLED
activesequenceoutletindicatorslabeled“SEQ1”,
“SEQ2”,and“SEQ3”.Theirsequencetimingisset
for3secondsbetweenSequence1-2&2-3whilein
“On”mode,andSequence3-2&2-1during“Off”
mode.WhentheLEDisilluminated,thecorresponding
AC outlet on the rear of the chassis will be active or
“Live”.Turned“On”,theorderthetriggersequence
is“SEQ1,SEQ2,SEQ3”.Turned“Off”,itis“SEQ3,
SEQ2,SEQ1”.
9. AC Mains Wiring Polarity Fault Indicator–TheRed
LEDwillilluminateiftheACMainsPowerCordispluggedintoanACMainsoutletthatiswiredincorrectly,suchaswhentheAC
HotandtheACNeutralarewiredbackwards.
10. AC Mains Breaker Indicator–ThisRedLEDwillilluminateifthemaximumunitcurrentdrawisexceeded.Thebreakerratingis
15A,butwillhandlehigherpeaksforashortperiodoftime.TheLEDwillilluminateuntiltheACMainsBreakerisreset.
11. AC Fault Indicator–AlthoughtheDualClampingSuppression(DCS)circuitvirtuallyassuresprotectionfrommosttransient
voltage spikes and surges nature has a way of occasionally creating electrical forces that are beyond the capabilities of any device
to absorb without some degree of damage. In the rare instance that this occurs and the DCS circuit has been damaged, the Red
“ACFault”LEDindicatorwillilluminateandaninternalbuzzerwillsound.TheETA-ECS3willalsoshutoffpermanentlyuntilthe
unitisrepaired.NOTE:IftheACFaultLEDisilluminatingitisimportanttohaveallequipmentthatwasconnectedtothatAC
MainsLineinspectedforproperoperation.
12. AC Mains Abnormal Voltage Indicator–ThisLEDflashesunderseveralACMainsfaultsituationsthatarelistedbelow.Normal
operating voltages for AC Mains voltage is considered to be between 108VAC and 125VAC. Any voltages exceeding those
parametersareconsideredarisktodamageequipmentpluggedintotheETA-ECS3.
High AC Line Mains–TheAbnormalVoltageLEDwillflashbetween128VAC–132VACindicatingpossibledamagemayoccur
toequipmentduetohighACMainsvoltage.TheETA-ECS3outletswillremainactivebuttheLEDwillstayflashingevenifthe
voltagereturnstoanormaloperatingrange.TostoptheLEDfromflashingthesystemactivationswitchmustbecycled“Off”.
Note:ItisrecommendedpriortoproceedingtohavetheACMainsinspectedbyanelectrician.
Low AC Line Mains–TheAbnormalVoltageLEDwillflashbetween101VAC–107VACindicatingpossibledamagemayoccur
toequipmentduetolowACMainsvoltage.TheETA-ECS3outletswillremainactivebuttheLEDwillstayflashingevenifthe
voltagereturnstoanormaloperatingrange.TostoptheLEDfromflashingtheSystemActivationSwitchmustbecycled“Off”.
Note:ItisrecommendedpriortoproceedingtohavetheACMainsinspectedbyanelectrician.
Extreme High AC Line Mains–IftheACMainsreach132VAC,theEVS(ExtremeVoltageShutdown)circuitwillbetriggered
toshutofftheACoutletswhileactivatingtheAbnormalVoltageLED.TheRedLEDwillilluminatesteadyandtheACMains
VoltageMeterwillflashOL(Overload),indicatingpossibledamagemayoccurtotheequipmentpluggedintotheETA-ECS3due
tohighACMainsvoltage.TheETA-ECS3outletswillremainoffuntiltheSystemActivationSwitchiscycled“Off”.Note:Itis
recommended prior to proceeding to have the AC Mains inspected by an electrician.
Extreme Low AC Line Mains–IftheACMainslowersto100VAC,theEVS(ExtremeVoltageShutdown)circuitwillbe
triggeredtoshutofftheACoutletswhileactivatingtheAbnormalVoltageLED.TheRedLEDwillilluminatesteadyandtheAC
MainsVoltageMeterwillflashOL(Overload),indicatingpossibledamagemayoccurtotheequipmentpluggedintotheETA-
ECS3duetolowACMainsvoltage.TheETA-ECS3outletswillremainoffuntiltheSystemActivationSwitchiscycled“Off”.
