Viewing Maps
Globalmaps–mapswhereallVirtualCenterobjectsareavailablefordisplay–are
accessiblethroughtheMapsbuttoninthenavigationbar.
MapsforspecificinventoryobjectsareavailablethroughtheMapstabforthoseobjects.
Toaccessaninventoryobject’sMapstab,selecteithertheHostsandClustersor
the
VirtualMachinesandTemplatesoptionfromtheInventorybuttoninthenavigation
bar,thenselectaninventoryitem.
Youcancustomizeamapviewbyselectingordeselectingobjectsintheinventorypane
(globalmaps),orbyselectingordeselectingoptionsintheMapRelationshipsarea.
Youcanrepositionthe
mapbydraggingit(clickanywhereonthemap,hold,drag).A
greyboxintheoverviewarearepresentsthesectionofthetotalmapthatisviewable
andmovesasyoudragthemap.Youcanresizethegreyboxtozoominoroutofa
sectionofthe
map.
Youcandouble‐clickanyobjectinamaptoswitchtotheMaptabforthatitem
(providingaMaptabisavailableforthattypeofobject).Youcanright‐clickonany
objectinamaptoaccessitsright‐clickmenu.
