menu,andtheSaveSelectiondialogboxisclosed.
To delete chart views
1IntheCustomizePerformanceChartdialogbox,
clickManageCharts.Adialog
boxisdisplayed.
2 SelectachartandclickDelete.ThechartisdeletedanditisremovedfromSwitch
tomenu.
3ClickOKtoclosethedialogboxandreturntotheCustomizePerformanceChart
dialogbox.
Resource Maps
InVirtualCenter,amapisavisualrepresentationofyourdatacenter’stopology.Maps
provideavisualrepresentationoftherelationshipsbetweenthevirtualandphysical
resourcesavailableinVirtualCenter .Thefollowingpreconfiguredmapviewsare
available:
VirtualMachineResources–Displaysvirtualmachine‐centricrelationships.
HostResources—Displayshost‐centricphysicalrelationships.
VMotionResource—DisplayspotentialhostsforVMotionmigration.SeeAbout
VMotionResourceMaps.
Amapviewlimitsorexpandsthescopeofamap,asdoesthelocationwhereyouare
viewingthemap.WhenaccessingmapviewsfromtheMapsbuttoninthenavigation
bar,allVirtualCenterresourcesare
availablefordisplay.Whenaccessingmapviews
fromtheMapstabofaselectedinventoryitem,onlyitemsrelevanttothatitemare
availablefordisplay.TheonlymapviewavailablethroughtheMapstabforvirtual
machineinventoryitemsistheVMotionResourcesview.Allmapviews,except
VMotion
Resourcesmaps,canbecustomized.
Viewingmapscanhelpyoudeterminesuchthingsaswhichclustersorhostsaremost
denselypopulated,whichnetworksaremostcritical,andwhichstoragedevicesare
beingutilized.
