1FromtheVirtualCenterclient,clickInventoryinthenavigationbarandexpand
theinventoryasneeded.

selectthemanagedhosttowhichyouwanttoaddthenew
virtualmachine.

3 ChooseFile>New>VirtualMachine.

4 SelectTypical,andclickNext.

Thenameyouenterin
theVirtualMachineNamefieldisthenamethatislisted
intheVirtualCenterclientinventory.Itisalsousedasthenameofthevirtual
machine’sfiles.Thenamecanbeupto80characterslongandmaycontain
alphanumericcharactersandtheunderscore(_)andhyphen
()characters.This
namemustbeuniquewithinthefolder.Namesarecaseinsensitive:thename
ʺmy_vmʺisidenticaltoʺMy_Vmʺ.
