2. Remove the plastic covering the lens.

3. Remove the battery compartment, by pressing the release buttons and pulling downward.

4. Insert four 1.5 V C alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, for each battery:

a. Place the negative (-) end of the battery against the spring.

b. Press the positive (+) end of the battery toward the battery compartment until it clicks.
