Unpacking and inflating
1. Unpack all parts and check that there is
nothing missing and that all parts are intact.
2. Spread out the kayak completely with as few
creases as possible and with the bottom
facing upwards.
3. Insert both keels into the brackets.
4. Turn the kayak over again.
Close the drain hole plugs unless already closed.
See section "When afloat - Water inside the kayak?“.

the left opening on the foot
pump.
e
CAUTION - material damage
• Remove all sharp-edged items from under the kayak before pumping it up.
• Do not pump up the kayak to "bursting point"; you should still be able to make a slight
depression in the hull when you press it with your thumb.
• The kayak must be assembled in the order specified to avoid damage to the hull.
A

Before setting off on a trip, check that all drain holes are firmly closed with drain hole plugs and
that the air chamber valves are also firmly closed.
Do not overload the kayak. It could sink.
Take care that loads are evenly distributed in the kayak.
– Remain seated on your seat,
– do not stand up,
– do not climb across the kayak,
– do not jump out of the kayak into the water,
– do not lean out too far over the side of the kayak,
– do not hold onto an overhanging bough or anything similar while the kayak is moving.
There is a danger the kayak might capsize.
Avoid shipping lanes and ferry routes.
Find out about any regulations regarding right of way and other official regulations for the
stretch of water you wish to kayak on. In case of doubt, be considerate – allow others the right
of way.
Inform yourself about emergency assistance measures in the event of accidents on water. In an
emergency, administer first aid, call for assistance and inform the emergency services.
CAUTION
Do not pull the kayak over sharp stones or other items with sharp edges. Carry it to and from
the water.
Remove all sharp-edged items from under the kayak before pumping it up.
Do not pump up the kayak to "bursting point"; you should still be able to make a slight depres-
sion in the hull when you press it with your thumb.
Caution in extreme temperatures! Do not leave the inflated kayak exposed to strong sunlight
or in the vicinity of a heat source. Heated air expands and can burst the hull. Where applicable,
let some air out in hot temperatures.
In cold weather the air contracts and the kayak loses pressure. Pump in a little more air where
applicable.
The kayak must be assembled in the order specified so as to avoid damage to the hull. Observe
all instructions for cleaning and storage, as soiling or storing in the wrong way can also cause
damage to the hull.
To avoid damage to the hull, you should not enter the kayak wearing shoes with hard soles or
sharp heels. Wear trainers, for example. You should also be careful with other items that have
sharp edges.
Store the kayak in a clean, dry place. Do not store it in extreme temperatures.
Never use caustic chemicals, or aggressive or abrasive cleaning products. Do not use talcum
powder as it adversely affects the fabric.
