PL-1220 Inleiding NEDERLANDS 1 Met deze Powerline stekkers PL-1220 kan je een netwerk verbinding maken tussen je modem, PC, Settopbox, Spelconsole, ... De PL-1220 stekkers zijn standaard niet verbonden. Volg de procedure beschreven in hoofdstuk 6 om ze te verbinden. Beperkingen Onder optimale omstandigheden bedraagt de maximale kabelafstand tussen twee Powerline apparaten 200 meter.
PL-1220 4 4 Veelgebruikte toepassingen
PL-1220 Omschrijving NEDERLANDS 5 1 Doorvoer stopcontact – Hier kan je toestellen zoals een modem, PC, Settopbox, spelconsole, TV, ... inpluggen om te voorzien van stroom. 2 Voedings-LED: – Aan: normale werking – Knipperen (0,5 seconde aan/0,5 seconde uit): in verbindingsmodus – Traag knipperen (4 seconde aan/11 seconden uit): in stand-bymodus (energiespaarfunctie) 3 Powerline-LED: Geeft de kwaliteit weer van de verbinding met andere Powerline stekkers.
PL-1220 7 Knop voor reset/eenvoudige verbinding – Druk gedurende 2 seconden om de verbindingssequentie te starten. – Druk gedurende 12 seconden om de fabrieksinstellingen te herstellen. Hierbij wordt het netwerk wachtwoord volledig gewist. De Powerline-stekker schakelt over op de stand-bymodus (energiespaarfunctie) wanneer hij gedurende 15 minuten niet via een Ethernet-kabel op een toestel is aangesloten. 6 De PL-1220 -stekkers verbinden De PL-1220 -stekkers zijn standaard niet verbonden.
NEDERLANDS PL-1220 Druk gedurende minstens 12 seconden op de toets voor reset/eenvoudige verbinding om de fabrieksinstellingen van de PL-1220 te herstellen. In de fabrieksinstellingen moet de PL-1220 stekker opnieuw worden verbonden! 7 Een extra PL-1220 toevoegen Je kan een Powerline netwerk maken tot maximaal acht Powerlines. Indien je reeds twee Powerlines in werking hebt, kan je er nog maximum zes toevoegen. Volg de onderstaande procedure om een Powerline toe te voegen: 1.
PL-1220 8 PC Hulpprogramma (Utility) De Powerline stekkers kunnen ook geconfigureerd worden via de meegeleverde PC software. 1. Zet de computer aan. Plaats de CD in het CD-romstation. Het CD-menu wordt automatisch gestart. Klik op "Install Utility". Als het menu niet automatisch start, kunt u het bestand "install.exe" op de CD opzoeken en uitvoeren. 2. De InstallShield Wizard zal automatisch starten. Volg de instructies om de software te installeren.
PL-1220 NEDERLANDS 3. Na een succesvolle installatie zal er een pictogram op uw bureaublad verschijnen : "HomePlugAV v4.2" 9 Configuratie Om het hulpprogramma te starten, dubbelklikt u op het pictogram "HomePlugAV v4.2" op uw bureaublad.
PL-1220 9.1 Home Het scherm "Home" zal het MAC-adres tonen van de Powerline-stekker die op uw computer is aangesloten (via een netwerkkabel). Het MAC-adres van de Powerline-stekker is ook te vinden op het etiket onderaan op het toestel.
PL-1220 Private Network Name NEDERLANDS 9.2 Via het scherm "Private Network Name" kunt u het wachtwoord van de Powerlines wijzigen. U kunt het wachtwoord (Private Network Name) van uw eigen privénetwerk invoeren. Nadat u op de toets "Apply" hebt geklikt, zal het wachtwoord worden verzonden naar de Powerline stekker die op uw computer is aangesloten.
PL-1220 Zorg dat de externe Powerline-stekker is aangesloten op een stopcontact voordat u op de toets "Apply" klikt. Via “Simulate Push Button” optie kunnen volgende acties ondernomen worden : – Simple Connect : Activeer het verbinbingsmechanisme. – NMK Randomize : Via deze functie wordt een willekeurig wachtwoord ingeladen in de Powerline stekker. Na deze actie zal de verbinding met de andere Powerlines verbroken worden.
PL-1220 Devices NEDERLANDS 9.3 Het scherm "Devices" toont alle externe Powerline-stekkers die met succes zijn verbonden met de Powerline die op uw computer is aangesloten. Behalve het MAC-adres van de externe Powerline zal ook de kwaliteit van de zend- en ontvangstverbinding worden getoond. • Fysieke snelheid hoger dan 30 Mbps? De Powerline-LED zal groen zijn. • Fysieke snelheid tussen 15 en 30 Mbps? De Powerline-LED zal oranje zijn. • Fysieke snelheid lager dan 15 Mbps? De Powerline-LED zal rood zijn.
PL-1220 9.4 Quality of Service Via het scherm “Quality Of Service” kan aangegeven worden welk type toestel/toepassing met de Powerline stekker werd verbonden. Hierdoor kan prioriteit gegeven worden aan dataverkeer van volgende types : Online Gaming/Internet, Audio/Video en Voice Over IP. Standaard staat deze functie uitgeschakeld. 1. Vink “Enable QoS” aan. 2. Selecteer één van de drie types, bv. “Voice Over IP” 3. Klik “Apply” om te bevestigen.
PL-1220 Firmware update NEDERLANDS 9.5 Indien er een nieuwe firmware beschikbaar is kan deze via de website www.esscom.be gedownload worden. 1. Download de bestanden en plaats ze in een map op de computer. 2. Klik “Update” en volg de instructies. Via “Factory Default” kan de Powerline stekker volledig gereset worden. Deze actie geeft hetzelfde resultaat als op de reset-knop te drukken met bijvoorbeeld een paper-clip gedurende 3 seconden.
PL-1220 10 Garantie 10.1 Garantieperiode Op de toestellen wordt een garantie van 36 maanden verleend. De garantieperiode gaat in op de dag waarop het nieuwe toestel wordt gekocht. Er is geen garantie op standaard of oplaadbare batterijen (type AA/AAA). Kleine onderdelen of defecten die een verwaarloosbaar effect hebben op de werking of waarde van het toestel zijn niet gedekt door de garantie.

PL-1220 Description FRANÇAIS 5 1 Passage de la prise – Branchez ici des appareils tels que modem, PC, settopbox, console de jeu, téléviseur, ... pour les alimenter. 2 LED d'alimentation : – Allumée : fonctionnement normal – Clignotement (0,5 seconde allumée / 0,5 seconde éteinte) : en mode connexion. – Clignotement lent (4 seconde allumée / 11 secondes éteinte) : en mode veille (économie d'énergie). 3 LED Powerline : Indique la qualité de la connexion avec les autres prises Powerline.
PL-1220 7 Bouton de réinitialisation / connexion simple – Appuyez pendant 2 secondes sur ce bouton pour lancer la séquence de connexion. – Appuyez dessus pendant 12 secondes pour rétablir les paramètres d'usine. Le mot de passe du réseau est alors effacé. La prise Powerline passe en mode veille (économie d'énergie) lorsqu'elle n'est pas connectée pendant 15 minutes à un appareil par câble Ethernet. 6 Connecter les prises PL-1220 Les prises PL-1220 ne sont pas connectées par défaut.
FRANÇAIS PL-1220 Appuyez pendant au moins 12 secondes sur la touche de réinitialisation/connexion simple pour rétablir les paramètres d'usine de la PL-1220. PL-1220 8 Programme d'aide PC (utilitaire) Les prises Powerline peuvent également être configurées à l'aide du logiciel fourni. 1. Allumez votre ordinateur. Insérez le CD dans le lecteur de CD-ROM. La lecture commence automatiquement. Cliquez sur "Install Utility". Si la lecture ne commence pas automatiquement, vous pouvez rechercher le fichier "install.exe" sur le CD et l'exécuter. 2. L'assistant d'installation démarre automatiquement. Suivez les instructions d'installation du logiciel.

PL-1220 9.1 Home La fenêtre "Home" indiquera l'adresse MAC de la prise Powerline connectée à votre ordinateur (via un câble réseau). L'adresse MAC de la prise Powerline est également reprise sur l'étiquette en partie inférieure de l'appareil.
PL-1220 Private Network Name FRANÇAIS 9.2 Via la fenêtre "Private Network Name", vous pouvez modifier le mot de passe des Powerlines. Vous pouvez introduire le mot de passe (Private Network Name) de votre propre réseau privé. Après avoir cliqué sur la touche "Apply", le mot de passe sera envoyé à la prise Powerline connectée à votre ordinateur. Veillez à ce que nom du réseau (mot de passe) se compose d'au moins 8 caractères.
PL-1220 Veillez à ce que la prise Powerline externe soit branchée dans une prise avant de cliquer sur "Apply". A l'aide de l'option “Simulate Push Button”, les actions suivantes peuvent être entreprises : – Simple Connect : Active le mécanisme de connexion. – NMK Randomize : Via cette fonction, un mot de passe aléatoire est chargé dans la prise Powerline. Après cette action, la connexion avec les autres Powerlines sera interrompue.
PL-1220 Appareils FRANÇAIS 9.3 La fenêtre "Devices" affiche toutes les prises Powerline externes correctement connectées à la Powerline connectée à votre ordinateur. Outre l'adresse MAC de la Powerline externe, la qualité de la connexion d'envoi et de réception sera également affichée. • Vitesse physique supérieure à 30 Mbps ? La LED Powerline sera verte. • Vitesse physique comprise entre 15 et 30 Mbps ? La LED Powerline sera orange. • Vitesse physique inférieure à 15 Mbps ? La LED Powerline sera rouge.
PL-1220 9.4 Quality of Service Via la fenêtre “Quality Of Service”, il est possible de voir quel type d'appareil / d'application est en connexion avec une prise Powerline. Cela permet de donner la priorité à différents types de circulation de données : Jeu en ligne/Internet, Audio/Vidéo et Voice Over IP. Par défaut, cette fonction n'est pas activée. 1. Cochez “Enable QoS”. 2. Sélectionnez l'un des trois types, par exemple “Voice Over IP”. 3. Cliquez sur “Apply” pour confirmer.
PL-1220 Actualisation du firmware FRANÇAIS 9.5 Si un nouveau firmware est disponible, vous pourrez le télécharger via le site www.esscom.be. 1. Téléchargez les fichiers et enregistrez-les dans un dossier sur votre ordinateur. 2. Cliquez sur “Update” et suivez les instructions. Via “Factory Default”, la prise Powerline peut être totalement réinitialisée. Cette action donne le même résultat qu'une pression de 3 secondes sur le bouton de réinitialisation avec une agrafe, par exemple.
PL-1220 10 Garantie 10.1 Période de garantie Les appareils sont sous garantie pendant 36 mois. La période de garantie commence au jour de l'achat de l'appareil neuf. Les piles classiques ou rechargeables (type AA/AAA) ne sont pas couvertes par une garantie. Les petites pièces ou les défauts dont l'effet sur le fonctionnement ou la valeur de l'appareil est négligeable ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

PL-1220 10 Warranty 10.1 Warranty period The devices carry a 36-month warranty. This warranty period starts on the date the new unit is purchased. There is no warranty on standard or rechargeable batteries (type AA/AAA). Small components or defects having a negligible impact on the operation or value of the device are not covered by the warranty. Claims under the warranty must be backed up by submission of the original proof of purchase or a copy which shows the date of purchase and the equipment model.
