10 T r ansmitt er to PC C onnec tion

T he Jeti Duplex line of transmitters is equipped with a mini USB por t.
T he T ransmitt ers also come with a standard USB to mini USB cable
which is used to connect your transmitter to a PC. T he Jeti Duplex
system is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and higher
versions of Windows OS. After connection and confirmation y our
transmitter will be identified by the PC as another memory driv e .
While it is connected to a PC your transmitt er ‘ s battery is also being
charged via the USB por t.


10.1 Memory & System F iles

After your transmitter has been connected to a PC it will behave like
standard external hard driv e . Y our transmitt er ’ s file directory is
displayed on the
PC screen. Pay close attention to mo ving , deleting
or adding files to any open file dir ec t or y , any changes per f ormed
here have a direct effect on your transmitt er ‘ s internal data

10.2 Update firm w ar e

T he Jeti Duplex line of transmitters fully supports future sof t war e
updat es . We recommend that you check the distributor ’ s and/or
manufac tur er ‘ s web sites frequently f or the most current update .
Ho w to update y our tr ansmitter ’ s firmware:
1. Connect your transmitter to a PC via USB por t

Confirm the c onnec tion
3. On the PC screen, open the file directory and copy the new
software update to the “Updat e ” file .
4. After the successful data
transf er , disconnect your transmiter
from the PC USB port and turn OFF the transmitt er . T he nex t
time that you turn your transmitter ON, the software will be
updated
.
With any new firmware update no model setups or c onfiguration
settings will be lost. For saf et y , after performing a new update , w e
highly recommend that you check all func tions , assig nments ,
c onfigurations , and model mix es . A list of new features is alwa y s
released with the firmware update .


10.3 S ounds , A larms & A c oustic Upda t es

A t this time , the Jeti firmware supports *.wav sound files. Any sound
file can be assigned to any function, switch, flight mode , t elemetr y
alarm, or music r outine . Y our applications are limited only by y our
imagination. All sounds must be copied to the “ A udio ” file .
