Check Engine Oil
1. Place unit horizontally, tank side down, with the auger
propped up to make it level. SEE FIGURE 2
2. Unscrew the dipstick, wipe o dipstick with rag, and
re-install the dipstick by threading it all the way in.
3. Remove the dipstick and examine where the oil level
is sitting. If the oil is within the hash marks, the oil level
is sucient. If the oil is below the hash marks, add oil,
if it’s above the hash marks, remove oil.
Changing Engine Oil
1. Remove dipstick from unit.
2. Rotate unit over on its side and drain oil into approved
container until oil pours completely out of unit.
3. With all of the oil out of the unit, pour 0W-40 oil into the
crankcase until oil level is within the hash marks on the
dipstick. If oil is below the hash marks, add oil, if it’s above
the hash marks, remove oil.
4. Re-install the dipstick.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not overll the unit with oil. Doing
so could cause damage to occur within the engine.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your unit comes with fully synthetic
0W-40 ready to pour; oil needs to be added before initial
use. High quality oil is recommended for your high
compression propane engine, it is important to use the
oil recommended for easy cold starting and to prevent
premature engine wear.
Clean Debris O Unit
For the engine to cool itself, it is important that the
cooling ns are kept free of debris.
Keep ywheel free from debris to allow sucient air ow
across the engine ns.
Use either compressed air, a vacuum, or a brush to clean
debris o of components.
Check Air Filter
It is recommended that the air lter be checked before
each use.
The air lter element should be clean and free from
particles or debris for proper engine performance
and to protect the engine from damage.
If the lter is dirty, cleaning will be needed, and if
necessary the lter will need to be replaced.
Clean Air Filter
1. Wash air lter in warm water with a mild detergent until
dirt and debris is removed. Press lter while washing,
do not twist.
2. Rinse with warm water until all detergent residue is removed.
3. Dry lter by pressing with cloth or towel, and allow to air
dry overnight.
